As president and one of the founders of On the Horizon Communications, joining the company in 1987, Holly continues to oversee all of the activities of the company. “Because Horizon is a small firm, my clients get individualized attention and measurable results,” says Holly. With a degree in journalism and marketing (University of Hawaii), Holly puts her skills to use in creating and maintaining dynamic and impactful PR campaigns for her clients. She especially likes working in the outdoor, fitness, health and related industries, as it ties into her personal passions. She loves doing anything outdoors from hiking in Big Sur to skiing in the Sierra Nevadas. An avid yogini, Holly practices and teaches yoga in her spare time.

Jordan is an senior account executive and handles multiple aspects of several client accounts, ranging from proactive communication with media to developing press materials to organizing media events. She holds a degree in journalism from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. With experience in professional writing, client communication and event planning, she lends many strong attributes to PR campaigns and client accounts. “I find it rewarding to network and build relationships with clients and editors within the outdoor, fitness and health and wellness industries, because these are where my personal interests lie,” Jordan says. Growing up in northern California, Jordan has spent a large part of her existence hiking, camping, and basking in the beauty of the outdoors. She also loves to work out and walk on the beach near her home.

As Account Executive and Writer, Jamie Relth composes press releases and coordinates PR campaigns for clients of On the Horizon Communications. A graduate of the Modern Languages & Literatures program at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and a former magazine editor, Jamie brings to the team a keen understanding of grammar and mass media communication, as well as a knack for giving press releases powerful public appeal. “Nothing brings me more joy to than to support and do PR for causes I believe in—and the wellness-oriented clients of On the Horizon Communications allow me to do that every day,” she says. When not at work, Jamie enjoys practicing yoga, taking her dog for long walks, swimming, and generally being in the sun.

With thirteen years of administrative and event planning experience, Lisa is well suited to her role as office manager. A graduate of California State University Fresno with a degree in organizational communication, she enjoys organizing and efficiently accomplishing tasks. Lisa also likes to swim and soak up the California sunshine whenever possible, and seems to be passing her love of water and the outdoors to her toddler, who requests regular beach time and walks.

Lindsey, a senior at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, is working toward a degree in journalism with a public relations concentration and a psychology minor. She recently joined the team at On the Horizon as an intern assisting in all aspects of PR including press releases, pitches, media research, and media follow-up. “My love for the outdoors and my passion for working in the field of public relations enable me to be a great match for the type of clients we work with at On the Horizon,” she says. Lindsey enjoys spending her spare time at the beach or walking her French bulldog, Lulu. She loves to swim, take Pilates classes, work out, and travel as much as possible.
